In 1992 I started to write music. This resulted in the creation of the dance music project LEGACY OF SOUND, that with the song HAPPY climbed the charts all over the world, mainly in the USA and Canada during 1993. After recording two albums with the project, I had the urge to move on towards new goals and visions and at that time I met with Lasse Karlsson, my manager and Douglas Carr, the master producer himself. This was in 1994. Together with these two energetic men we founded what was to become my first solo album titled MEJA. The album sold gold in Sweden and close to 1 million copies in Japan.

In January 1997 I went on my first concert tour in Japan called THE FLOWER GIRL JAM TOUR' where we also recorded a MEJA LIVE IN JAPAN album. It was a memorable experience full of warmth and joy, and the tour meant a lot to me both spiritually and musically, so when we started to record the second album SEVEN SISTERS I wanted to capture the emotions we had during that time. So today I watch my SEVEN SISTERS take form and create their own life. I am proud of what we have created and that I have been fortunate to work with so many talented musicians and songwriters. The SEVEN SISTERS appeals to different emotions that I hold within and along with that my music.

The concept of the album came up when I was analyzing myself, recognizing whom I was acting in different situations with different people. I saw these sides of myself, one day a child, next a woman, to become a wise lady, or a mother figure. I found that all these characters were a part of me and that I wanted to get to know them better...but that is another story...

Music is something that touches us all, old or young, and it is a very powerful media. I want to be able to create feelings and thoughts in my music that will give positive side effects. Sometimes I feel that words are not necessary, and that the music speaks for itself. Like listening to INTIMACY, that takes me back to the safety of my mother's arms when I was a little girl, or ALL BOUT THE MONEY that makes me think of this material world that we live in that sometimes drives me crazy, or DO THE ANGELS HAVE A HOME that in it's simplicity is one of the strongest songs on the album. But who am I to judge... take a listen for yourself!
