Our Mission

Senior citizens presently represent 14.2 percent of the total Puerto Rican population, and it is expected to reach 16 percent by the year 2000.

Security and protection, as well as a sense of belonging, good self-esteem and fulfillment, are things aspired to by adults, who see the years passing by.

Senior citizens need to live in an environment of dignity which will satisfy the basic needs of home, health care and nutrition, as well as the physical, mental and emotional conditions. Although the majority of families make an effort to keep their senior relatives within the family home, sometimes they cannot provide the best physical and emotional care because they lack the necessary time and information.

Many family members do not know that there are homes for senior relatives where they can live in a safe and harmonious environment with others of the same age who share their interests and worries. These homes seek the best quality of life for the senior members, considering them useful and profitable to society.

The attention given to the population of senior citizens and the services provided to better their quality of life are high priorities at the I Love You, Lord, Home Center. Its actions are directed towards providing the necessary services which will satisfy the aspirations of seniors, among which are health, social welfare, economic and emotional security, housing, education, and recreation.
